We are actively seeking experienced Consultant Radiologists to join our team at the Royal Cornwall hospital, Truro. Why not come and see what it’s like to live and work in our beautiful county.
We are offering ‘taster’ fortnights over the summer months for established Consultants and their families within our department. In return for 5 sessions of reporting/ ultrasound per week, we will aim to accommodate you and your family at the 4 star St Michaels Hotel in Falmouth.
Situated 15 miles from The Royal Cornwall Hospital Falmouth is a fast growing thriving harbour town with excellent beaches and restaurants. It provides a perfect base for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer. Alternative accommodation options can be discussed on application.
During your 5 sessions in the department you will hold an honorary contract with us and be asked to help with reporting backlogs which tend to get longer over the summer months due to planned annual leave. The mix of reporting/ultrasound will be tailored to your areas of expertise after discussion. This will give you an opportunity to experience first hand what it would be like to work within our team and realise what an excellent working environment we enjoy with access all modern imaging modalities delivering general and subspecialist Radiology to a high standard.

12 Specialist registrars providing 24/7 1st on diagnostic on-call.
3 MRI scanners (3 X 1.5T- most recent acquisition due installation June 2017)
4 CT scanners ( including a new top of the range 256 slice machine)
45 USS machines maintained under a Toshiba manged service contract.
Separate IR suite with Hybrid endovascular theatre and daycase dedicated recovery. Separate IR on-call.
Separate Breast unit with 5 Consultant Breast Radiologist/specialists.
Separate Nuclear medicine department with onsite PETCT.
