Radiology at Northampton General Hospital is looking to recruit a Clinical Fellow to join us in our expanding service.
We welcome applications from qualified radiologists looking to gain UK experience in a busy DGH. Candidates with an interest in Oncological, Cardiothoracic, Breast and Women’s imaging are particularly welcome.
We will support your academic interests and you will have a generous study leave allowance and budget to match.
Northampton General Hospital is a large DGH with 700 beds. We are a centre for vascular surgery; oncology including radiotherapy; stroke, including hyper-acute stroke; renal/nephrology; cardiology as well as a busy emergency department and other services.
We have had major investment in our department recently and now have state of the art equipment on one site. These include three new 128slice CT scanners; two MRI scanners; Nuclear medicine unit with a fixed site PET-CT scanner; dedicated Breast unit with provision of breast MRI and one stop clinics; theatre specification interventional radiology suite and daybed area etc.
Northampton is a great place to live and is well connected by road, rail and air. We are only about 70 miles to central London (1 hr by direct train) and 55 miles to Birmingham. Oxford, Cambridge and Leicester are all within easy reach by road. We have great recreational facilities in the hospital including a gym. The county is renowned for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities including the arts, theatre, parks, rugby, golf, football, sailing and motor racing amongst others.
