Clinical Fellow (SPR) in Cardiothoracic Imaging, Radiology
Two posts available From June 2016
Applications are invited for the posts of Clinical Fellow in Cardiothoracic Imaging, Radiology, based at Harefield Hospital. This post is available for a fixed term of 6 months in the first instance, extendable by mutual consent to a maximum of 23 months
The post holder will train in advanced imaging of the heart and lungs, whilst participating in the general workload of the department. Training will be tailored to suit the requirements of the appointee, and can include cardiac CT and MRI, thoracic CT and MRI, and interventional thoracic procedures.
The Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital NHS Trust is one of the largest cardiothoracic centres in Europe. The Harefield Hospital site offers the whole spectrum of non-invasive and invasive cardiology, cardiac surgery, thoracic medicine and thoracic surgery. We are also one of the largest heart and lung transplant centres in the world. The Imaging Department has a 64-slice Toshiba Aquilion CT scanner, and MRI is provided from a mobile Siemens Avanto 1.5T scanner.
Applicants must hold FRCR (or equivalent) and must hold, or be eligible to hold, full GMC registration in the UK. An enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team are essential.
