Applications are invited to apply for the post of Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Interventional Radiology within Abertawe Bro Morgannwg NHS Health Board. The post will be based in Morriston Hospital, Swansea
The successful post holder will join a team of 23 Consultant Radiologists who are responsible for the provision of Radiological services to the West side of the Health Board (Swansea). There are currently 3 radiologists with an interest in vascular intervention. 4 further consultants provide various forms of non-vascular intervention including nephrostomy, stenting and biliary drainage procedures
Morriston Hospital provides tertiary services to South West Wales including Vascular, Cardio-thoracic, Burns and Plastics and Pancreatic surgery. Other specialised services based on the Morriston site include Urology, Renal medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Oesophago-gastric and Colo-rectal surgery.
The Health Board is located in an area with excellent transport links and is within easy access of the M4 motorway. There are many areas of outstanding beauty nearby, to the north is the Brecon Beacons National Park, and the Gower Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty is on the doorstep. There is an excellent choice of affordable housing within easy travelling times of the hospitals.
