Musculoskeletal Radiology



The job is for 2 General Cross-sectional Radiologists with sub speciality interests in Musculoskeletal and Thoracic/Cardiac Radiology. The post holder will be expected to complement the general workload of the department apart from pursuing their subspecialist interests.

A CCT in Radiology, or equivalent, is required for the post.  The appointment will be subject to the terms and conditions of the new NHS Consultant Contract 2003.

In pursuing these duties the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution and be familiar with the NHS England Guidance ‘Understanding the new NHS’ (details of which can be found in the links section of NHS Jobs).

Applicants must be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK.  If you are a trainee, currently on a UK training programme, and are not yet on the specialist register, please provide details of your expected CCT date on your application form.  In accordance with the regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register at the time of their application to be eligible for consideration for a Consultant appointment by the Advisory Appointments Committee.
